Man has forever been fascinated with the cycle of life, the nature of our being, and the symbiotic relationship we have with the circularity of the universe.
In ancient Greece, Aion was a Hellenistic deity associated with time, the orb or circle encompassing the universe, and the rhythms of the zodiac. The “time” represented by Aion is unbounded, without beginning, without end, the infinite loop of the universe, the circularity of existence.
Within the infinite loop of the universe, humanity wrestles with the finite nature of our conscious life, our mortality, as we live our lives in concert with universal circularity, the cycle of beginnings and endings.
As eloquently stated by the Roman Stioc philosopher Senica,
“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”
On this dark stormy evening, a gnarled little oak, ancient in its beginnings, its end near, silhouettes the end of the of suns circular journey against a blood moon rising, ushering in another beginning as the lunar cycle in the infinite loop of the universe completes the circularity of natures essence, in the presence of Aion’s Eye.
